Dr. Katrina Twing
Principle Investigator
I research how microbes interact with each other and their environments by looking at their genes. Literally everything is a potential habitat for microbes and I want to understand how they impact their surroundings. My research has taken me to some pretty amazing places, but the really exciting part begins when the data comes back from the sequencing center. When I am not doing science, I love to hike, garden, play with my dog, travel, and explore the outdoors.
